IntelliClear offers a full range of market research and strategic consulting services, each backed by the market tested experience of the IntelliClear team and its partner network. The IntelliClear portfolio includes the following services:

Data Synthesis:
How often do you find yourself overwhelmed by data and not being able to create a clear picture of what it all means? The professionals at IntelliClear understand this dilemma and are experienced at synthesizing data using a variety of techniques and data mining methodologies. At IntelliClear the synthesis is not complete until an actionable set of perspectives is uncovered and substantiated through sound and effective analysis. IntelliClear’s uses a project tested four step process for each of its data synthesis jobs: Identify client research objectives; Examine available data sources; Synthesize data; and Deliver the client solution:

Whether the data comes from industry giants such as IDC, Gartner, Forrester, AMI-Partners, or Yankee, your own internal team, or data collected through one of our own primary research projects, IntelliClear has the skills and experience necessary to bring clarity and actionability to your existing data.

Focus Groups:
One of the cornerstone methodologies of qualitative research is focus groups, a hallmark expertise of IntelliClear. A focus group is a research technique that involves bringing together a group of pre-screened individuals into one room for the purposes of having a collective discussion using a structured discussion guide. Focus groups can be conducted either in person (traditional) or online via the Internet (see Traditional vs Online to evaluate what is the best solution for your project). A well planned and executed focus group can yield powerful insights into how individuals think and react to specific ideas and stimulus. At IntelliClear our IT savvy team, led by two of the industry's leading focus group moderators in Eric Shuster and Alex Kalamarides, applies creative design, disciplined recruiting, dynamic moderation, and actionable synthesis to each of the focus group projects we undertake. IntelliClear focus groups deliver results-oriented conclusions and recommendations to our clients. The IntelliClear Partner Network (IPN) provides English and non-English venues across the United States and select international countries.

Professional Moderation:
The single most critical component to a focus group is the moderator. An excellent moderator is able to easily navigate the subject matter with or without the guide, draw out participant thoughts and feelings, and keep the group interested and energetic. IntelliClear offers professional moderation of focus groups for those clients who need only a moderator and not turn-key focus groups. Moderators are selected from a distinguished group of IPN professionals, including Eric Shuster and Alex Kalamarides - who are both considered two of the industry's top focus groups moderators, having effectively executed focus groups for industry leaders across a wide array of subject matters including PC usage, networking, wireless, IT security, messaging, design conceptualization, distribution, service, and other IT related subjects. Moderating services cover both English and non-English speaking focus groups, covering a select number of countries in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

One-On-One Interviews:
When a project calls for more in-depth understanding than a focus group can provide, one-on-one interviews may be the answer. IntelliClear employs a rigorous and disciplined approach to one-on-one interviews starting with identifying and accurately recruiting interview participants. IntelliClear works with clients to swiftly develop a robust discussion guide that thoroughly covers the desired subject matter and provides for dynamic content coverage. IntelliClear understands that it’s not enough to follow the discussion guide, but rather take the interview in directions that extract new ideas, uncover key thoughts, and illuminate unique perspectives. IntelliClear documents each individual interview, along with an integrated perspectives report that aggregates the key ideas and conclusions from all of the interviews conducted. Clients are encouraged to listen, or perhaps even participate, in interviews as appropriate and desired.

Mystery Shopper Visits:
Have you ever wondered how your competition performs during sales calls, or how your own call center manages incoming calls? Sometimes the best way to find out is to have someone pose as a customer, make the call, and take the telesales person through the “ringer.” This type of research is referred to as mystery shopper visits. Generating excellent results from a mystery shopper visit requires a thoughtful plan, a well written script, and a believable caller who can act out the part under pressure. IntelliClear has experience in making mystery shopper visits to OEM call centers, resellers, customer service depots, other sales entities such as multi-brand direct mail order houses. IntelliClear documents each individual call, along with an integrated perspectives report that aggregates the key ideas and conclusions from all of the calls. Clients are encouraged to listen to the mystery shopper visits as appropriate and desired.

Market Segmentation:
Eric Shuster and Alex Kalamarides of IntelliClear are considered two of the industry's leading authorities on market segmentation, including the application and operationalization of market segmentation in real world market situations. IntelliClear leverages the experiences of its principals to deliver an integrated solution in both the development and application phases of market segmentation. Segmentation models can be driven from a quantitative perspective using a robust volume of new or existing data through the process of multi-variate cluster analysis or complex data modeling. If an appropriate volume of data is not available, segmentation models can be created utilizing a process of qualitative negotiation. In both cases IntelliClear focuses on customer acquisition targeting and campaign actionability to produce segmentation models that perform in the market, not just on paper. Once the segmentation model is developed and validated, the professionals at IntelliClear can use the segmentation as a framework to apply real-world experiences and insights in creating effective go-to-market strategies and execution plans that generate results.

Segmentation Gearboxes:
IntelliClear makes segmentation models come alive by developing tier classification gearboxes that allow clients to segment publicly available marketing lists (such as Dunn & Bradstreet) into one or more of the segments of a segmentation model. By doing so clients can develop lists of potential sales targets by segment for direct marketing engagements. Dr. Alex Kalamarides is one of the pioneers of tier classification gearboxes and has evolved his experience and know-how into the custom development of these powerful marketing tools for IntelliClear clients.

Quantitative Surveys:

There comes a time when an organization demands a “measurement” of one or more market perspectives through statistical data that is relevant and representative of a particular universe. Quantitative surveys provide such a measurement through the deployment of a questionnaire to a relevant sample of a targeted audience. IntelliClear employs a disciplined three phased methodology (seen below) to quantitative studies leading to actionable and optimized results. Coupling the three phased methodology with IntelliClear’s industry experience, produces actionable quantitative studies that deliver results. Quantitative studies can be combined with market segmentation to develop powerful, customized go-to-market solutions.

Conjoint Analysis:
When an understanding is required on how customers makes trade-offs and selections with respect to such things as product features, configurations, or packaging, the most appropriate research solution will be a conjoint study. The goal of a conjoint study is to obtain specific values to the range of options buyers consider when making a purchase decision. Armed with this knowledge, marketers can simulate various market scenarios. The scenarios uncover the most important feature combinations of products or services, while helping design the most effective messages that will resonate with target buyers. As with quantitative surveys, IntelliClear uses the same three phased methodology for conjoint studies to ensure actionable and optimized results.

Competitive Analysis:
Effective competitive analysis requires access to knowledgeable industry contacts, disciplined analysis, rigorous examination of available data, good old fashioned detective work, and the integrity to refrain from illegal practices which can create legal problems in the future. IntelliClear is highly capable of conducting custom competitive analysis across a variety of sectors within the IT industry using our contacts and experience, coupled with our ability to synthesize data and trends to come up with unique insights and perspectives on competitors within a given market space. The end result is competitive analysis you and your team can use for strategy and tactical program development, while not having to worry about a call from your corporate ethics department.

Go-To-Market Plans:
The ultimate goal of any research effort is to support the development of effective go-to-market strategies and execution plans. Research, whether it is secondary data synthesis or primary research, should answer key questions, provide valuable insights, and create realistic perspectives that can be used to achieve company goals. IntelliClear never loses sight of this fact and approaches go-to-market plan development with a focus on bottom-line results, using industry tested experiences. Go-to-market plans can include one or more components relating to product/service solutions development, pricing, competitive analysis, channels of distribution, messaging, promotions, sales execution, and other key aspects of the sales and marketing process.

Workshops:
Bringing a group of people together (large or small) to present complex materials, develop a common direction, or create a plan, can be a challenging task. Group dynamics are often accentuated by strong personalities, individual bias, and the desire to "get to the point" as quickly as possible. Eric Shuster and Alex Kalamarides at IntelliClear are seasoned group facilitator and have conducted valuable workshops for such subject matters as marketing messaging, product development, branding, pricing, and analyst relations. IntelliClear's lively personalities, strong moderation skills, and grasp of creative and technical content, coupled with IntelliClear's ability to create world class workshop materials and venues that are fun and results oriented, make IntelliClear an outstanding choice for workshop development and execution.

Whitepapers:
To bolster the credibility and understanding of your company’s ideas and directions there is nothing like a methodically researched and well written white paper. White papers can be written on a multitude of subjects, targeted at various entities, in varying degrees of depth and length. The approach to white papers at IntelliClear includes thoroughly understanding the client’s goals and target audience, identifying the most relevant and persuasive facts relating to the subject, and presenting the content in a simple yet compelling manner using a combination of text and graphics. IntelliClear understands that the key to a successful white paper is a balance between educating and entertaining the reader.

Presentations:
Great ideas and unique thoughts can easily be overlooked or misunderstood when the creator fails to package and present the content in the most effective manner to the target audience. The results of such a miscalculation can be disastrous. To avoid such a disaster, IntelliClear recommends an integrated approach to developing presentations that includes selecting the most appropriate theme and tone for content conveyance, creating visually compelling charts and graphics to express ideas, and developing unique and memorable content. Using data and content from a wide array of reliable and reputable sources, IntelliClear can produce custom presentations that will excite and motivate target audiences, reinforce brand positioning, and leave a lasting impression.

Speaking Engagements:
Having excellent presentation materials is essential to effective public presentations; however dynamic delivery of the presentation material can be equally as critical to generating and maintaining interest and acceptance among prospect communities. IntelliClear's Eric Shuster and Alex Kalamarides are seasoned public presenters of technology, having an animated style and depth of knowledge that delivers presentations that are both informative and entertaining. IntelliClear's principals have conducted numerous public presentations, along with having appeared in several technology related TV and broadcast productions for such industry leaders as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, and Compaq Computer Corporation.
